Escape From Tarkov’s latest roadmap reveals upcoming patches, Terminal map previews, and confirms plans for the full 1.0 release in 2025

Battlestate Games has officially unveiled a new Escape From Tarkov roadmap during the latest TarkovTV livestream, outlining major updates leading up to the full 1.0 release. According to the roadmap, several patches are scheduled over the coming months, confirming that Escape From Tarkov 1.0 is still set to launch by the end of 2025.

While no exact release date was given, developers reiterated their goal to release Escape From Tarkov 1.0 this year, despite previous delays that originally suggested a late 2024 launch window.

One major talking point from the roadmap is the absence of a confirmed wipe. Typically, a summer wipe would be expected around August, but with the patch labeled as version 0.16.9, it appears a wipe may not be included. When asked directly, the developers didn’t provide a clear answer, leaving fans to speculate that the next wipe might not happen until after the full 1.0 release.

The livestream also showcased early footage of the upcoming Terminal map, offering the first real look at gameplay areas and new cutscenes featuring NPC characters.

Outside of launch news, Escape From Tarkov is also receiving a wave of optimizations and quality-of-life improvements. Nearly every map is set for updates, including a major expansion for Interchange in August. A highly anticipated audio overhaul is also planned for the June patch — and early previews show noticeable improvements.

Players can expect additional content too, including new weapons, updated AK animations, and various gameplay refinements aimed at smoothing out persistent bugs and frustrations.

While the amount of new content before launch is relatively small, it’s clear that Battlestate Games is focusing on stabilizing and polishing Escape From Tarkov before the big 1.0 release.

Finally, it was confirmed that Escape From Tarkov: Arena will be coming to Steam soon, following its initial release on the Epic Games Store. Nikita also mentioned that the full version of Escape From Tarkov will eventually launch on Steam, although that move may not happen for quite some time.
